"I'm not interested in fame and glory. It's just that I would like others to know what a happy dance this is."

-Frankie Manning

The Arizona Swing Cats is the home of Tucson's Lindy-Hop Community. We're a student-run club at the University of Arizona that specializes in swing dancing. We teach and learn Lindy Hop and every form of dance that it vibes with including Blues, Charleston, Shag, Balboa, Hip-Hop, Vernacular Jazz and more.

WHERE TO FIND US??!?

WHO ARE WE?

We are a student-run 501c(3) non-profit and approved club at the University of Arizona that teaches swing dances to students and swing fans around Tucson. We teach a variety of dances and participate in national swing dance/lindy hop events.

Think you can't dance? You're wrong, and that's ok! We're here to make you feel comfortable. We embrace diversity and inclusion with open arms. Swing is meant to be relaxed and fun, and we'll do our best to make sure you're happy with it. Help us keep this great dance alive by joining the Arizona Swing Cats!

WHAT IS SWING?

Swing is an umbrella of dance styles that arguably originated in the 1920s. Born from rhythmic African dance and nurtured by the Jazz Era, it evolved into modern dance styles such as East Coast Swing, Lindy Hop, Charleston, Balboa, Jive and many others!
